About Me

Deborah Blease - Lead Mediator

Hello, my name is Deborah Blease, I am the co-founder of The Mediation People and a director of The Practical OT.

I am a Trained Mediator and Occupational Therapist. Both roles allow me the privilege of working with people to help them to move forward in their lives. This can often be from life events that can leave people feeling vulnerable and in need of support.

"..the privilege of working with people to help them to move forward in their lives."

I have over 22 years of experience working in the mental health arena with both children, adolescents and adults. I believe this has given me a wealth of experience that will help, when working with you to mediate your way through your difficult life event or dispute that needs some help to resolve.

My own life experience provides me with empathy and compassion too helping me to be able to appreciate your situation; I am happily married but have gone through divorce myself. I have 3 amazing children all grown up and I now have two beautiful grandchildren.

Life can throw many curved balls at us, and I am not immune; I have had to deal with disability, aging and ill parents, bereavement, adoption, military family life and survived teenagers along with many other life transitions.

"I believe it is important to have balance in life so always try to inject some fun."

I believe it is important to have balance in life so always try to inject some fun. I am fortunate to have great friends and family. I love to watch my local Wasps Rugby team and enjoy the cinema and walking my dog Rosie.

In my work with you I will help to guide you through the process to get the fair and honest outcome for you.
