About Me

Tracie Angell - Lead Accredited Mediator

Hello, I’m Tracie Angell the co-founder of The Mediation People. I am also the proud mother of three grown up children and Nanna to my delightful grandsons.

As I have navigated my way through life I have learnt many a lesson along the way; I have experience of divorce, bereavement, redundancy, mental health, being a solo parent and the know-how of what it’s like when your children fly the nest.
"I understand the pressures of juggling work alongside parenting"
While I was a solo parent I often worked more than one job, so I understand the pressures of juggling work alongside parenting. I know the challenges of taking the children to school, getting them to their various after school activities while also providing for them.

One of my many roles was as a Kitchen Manager at a school in Leighton Buzzard. Becoming an integral part of the school community was a privilege, and I was able to engage with the children through cooking classes and picnics. The kitchen was also used for training new management recruits in budgeting, team building and organisation. This experience was what started my passion in people-development and support.

For the last 20 years I am proud to have worked for the John Lewis Partnership where I held many people management positions. My last role with the Partnership was a Senior Personnel Partner where my expertise was resolving conflict and finding workable solutions for employees and the Head of Retail Operations.
"My life experience alongside my formal training, allows me to have genuine empathy"
While mediating I find my life experience (stated above) alongside my formal training, allows me to have genuine empathy and valuable insight into the issues and concerns my clients are experiencing.

In my free time I have I enjoy spending time with my family, going to my local gym (who am I kidding), visiting new places with my partner and keeping my garden in tip top condition.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey as you prepare to resolve your current situation and move towards a different future with new horizons.

Customer Testimonials

I was not sure if mediation was for me, but you made it easy for me to discuss my situation, in the warm, comfortable environment you provided.

Just talking to you helped to put things into perspective and the information you provided gave me options to help me resolve my issues.

I feel much more positive for the future.
Sue
Thanks to Tracie myself and ex husband were able to reach an amicable agreement on our finances - when we had previously been in stalemate.

There was never a sense that Tracie was on anyone's side, it just needed someone other than me to explain it to him - and vice versa with his concerns

I wholeheartedly recommend Tracie.
Hayley
Tracie (with an IE not Y) naturally relaxes people and puts them at ease quickly. She is friendly, approachable and puts 100% into everything she does.

She will ask probing and thoughtful questions that will open your mind and get to the probable root causes of the subject you are talking about.

Tracie has supported me on numerous occasions and each time we have had a clear strategy to move forward.
Steve
I was so incredibly nervous, but you really helped me feel at ease and keep it together to say what I needed to say - and I said it all! It's actually made me feel more confident in general and able to enjoy my life a bit more - which is pretty lovely too.

So thank you once again, I know that you said you were due a tricky week this week. I really hope that all is going as well as can be expected.
