This Privacy Notice contains important information on the personal information The Mediation People may hold about you, how it is stored and who it may be shared with.

What information we hold about you

We only hold information about you and sometimes your family that has been used in direct relation to the matters you have raised during mediation. An example of this information is your full name, address, contact details, date of birth, details of your children and sometimes financial information.

How your information is stored

All information you have shared with us, both current and archived, is securely stored.

We only allow authorised personnel to have access to information and we have ridged internal process which covers the storage, access and disclosure of your information.

How long we keep your information

We keep information for 7 years after the relationship with the person who was the subject of mediation has ended unless the information forms part of a complaint or disciplinary investigation in which case it may be kept for longer.

The sharing information

We would only share information, if requested, with the Family Mediation Council or the College of Mediators if it was required as part of an investigation or complaint. We never share information with any outside agencies for any purpose or reason.

Accessing and correcting your information

If you want to view the information we hold, please ask. We will happily share all information we hold and correct it as requested.
